About Us

Who are we?

The Eildon Singers is a long established, mixed-voice, community choir of about 40 members, based in Melrose, in the Scottish Borders, and conducted by James Young.

in the past, we have rehearsed upstairs in the Ormiston Institute in Melrose, but, due to the Covid pandemic, we have moved downstairs to the Corn Exchange which is a much bigger space, allowing us to abide by the current COVID restrictions.

We have two main concerts per year. One concert is before Christmas, which is a mixture of choral works and carol singing. The other is in May, when the choir usually sings one or two major works.

We are a friendly choir and will always welcome new members. There's no need for an audition!

Come and join us when conditions permit!
